Looks like a lot of people nowadays want to collect something. From cards to kicks, comic books and more, people are collecting. But its hard to find anything at MSRP with practically every type of collectible being resold at way higher prices. I recently discovered a way to collect cards that doesn’t have to break the bank and its done by box breaks. That’s why I was intrigued by box breaks. I can potentially get the cards I want, for a way more reasonable price. Is it a gamble. Oh, hell ya it is. But that’s where the fun is. Box breaks have been around for years, but this year was the first one I ever done one and it was with Mojobreak Overall, it was an exciting experience.
What is a Box Break?
A box break is an event in which a box or case of cards is divided up among collectors who purchase the right to receive cards as part of a random drawing. It’s similar to a raffle except that each participant is guaranteed to receive a certain number of cards.
Below are the recorded YouTube videos of the breaks and my pulls.
In my first ever random draw, I got the Philadelphia 76ers. $71
My second break. Random team: Toronto Raptors $100
Third break. Random Team: Boston Celtics $100
Fourth break. Random Team: Philly 76ers (again!) $71
Fifth break. Team: Utah Jazz $71
Total as o 3/5/2021: $500
